In your role as an accounting technician, you will contribute to the efficiency of the company’s accounting activities in compliance with legal standards and obligations.

The main responsibilities and tasks of the position:

Maintain books and accounts payable :

  • Matching vouchers to accounts payable
  • Enter customer/vendor account data
  • Reconcile supplier account statements
  • Make accounting adjustments
  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Perform month-end entries and financial statements

Make deposits/payments/bank reconciliations:

  • Obtain authorization for expenses
  • Payment of suppliers.
  • Perform bank reconciliations

Perform administrative follow-up:

  • Follow up on the main asset control tools (car loan, insurance provision, sales and value of vehicles, accident files…)
  • Follow up on various administrative files (landlords, telephony, etc.)
  • Produce GST and QST reports
  • Establish monthly account analyses and provide documents for the annual audit
  • Support in the management and issuance of payroll

Profile sought:

  • Degree in accounting or related field
  • Minimum experience of 3 years
  • Knowledge of accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV an asset)
  • Mastery of the Office suite (mainly Excel)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Has good analytical skills and works with rigor
  • Works with the concern of respecting the rules of confidentiality
  • Autonomous with a good team spirit
  • Has a good understanding of spoken and written English
