Responsibilities
- Project opening (Print tender documents; Preparation of the TPL form; Manage addendums and transmit them)
- Study and analyze the specifications of the plans and specifications in the preparation of the tender;
- Develop realization scenarios;
- Establish a schedule as required;
- Make a statement of the quantities on the docket and compare the quantities on the plans;
- Extract quantities with the company’s tools and provide detailed quantity statements;
- Ensures that estimates are structured according to the cost breakdowns of the various projects;
- Establish contacts with suppliers and subcontractors;
- Analyzes the content of all bids received from suppliers and subcontractors and verifies their compliance with the requirements of the bid documents to determine the lowest compliant bid;
- Participate, in conjunction with the Director and the President, in the closing of bids;
- Ensure that the project management team receives all appropriate documentation related to the projects obtained;
- Following the awarding of a project contract, participates in the transfer meeting to the project management team.
Qualifications required :
- DEC or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- 5+ years experience as an estimator in the construction industry
- Knowledge of estimating software (an asset)
- Experience in project management (an asset)
- Mastery of the office suite
- Comfortable with computers
