Cloud Developer (DevOps/SRE)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure (infrastructure as code)
• Develop automation scripts and tools for service management (deployment, performance measurement, security, monitoring…)
• Design and implement protocols and procedures for IT service management (applications, databases, security and archiving systems, etc.)
• Document configurations, protocols and methods for service management
• Monitor the operation of services
• Incident management, support of technical support teams in case of system failure/decrease in performance.
• Be periodically available on call, outside of business hours

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or college diploma in computer science and/or combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
• Bilingualism an asset

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Ability to work as a team with other departments
• Organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
• Good management of priorities
• Ability to adapt and be open to change
• Experience as a software developer and knowledge of programming scripts or web applications for systems management (e.g. Bash, Python, Java, PHP).
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Autonomous, results-oriented and proactive
• Propose new technical solutions to modernize the current operation
• Very good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes….), infrastructure technologies as code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, Vault, etc.)
• Experience with service and infrastructure monitoring, log collection, analysis and application performance monitoring (APM)
• Knowledge and experience using any of the following solutions: GCP, AWS or Azure
