Our client, a Canadian leader in the distribution of parts, with branches across the country, wishes to benefit from the experience of a Manager in order to improve operations and support the existing team of supervisors.

In collaboration with the General Manager of the Distribution Center, your objectives will be :

  • Ensure sound management of all distribution center operations (production, logistics, quality, etc.);
  • Supervise, support and motivate the 6 warehouse supervisors (day and evening).
  • Manage the movement and accuracy of inventory, receipt and storage of goods, locate the location of goods sent by each supplier, ensure delivery times, etc., in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Analyze performance indicators (quality, costs and on-time delivery) and implement improvement processes
  • Ensure good communication between staff members, as well as with suppliers and customers.
  • Participate in various committees, health and safety, sometimes negotiate with the carrier and participate in decision making.
  • Write reports and prepare budgets.
  • Promote safe work practices and resolve all identified safety issues.
  • Evaluate employee performance

Profile sought to carry out your mission: 

  • BAC or DEC in administration, logistics or related field
  • 10 years in the distribution field (distribution center, warehouse) including at least 5 years in management in a similar role.
  • Must have worked in a center of approximately 100,000 square feet.
  • Experience in a unionized environment required.
  • Natural leadership, prioritization, organization and thoroughness.
  • Solution oriented and especially continuous improvement oriented.
  • Results driven, able to evolve in a fast paced environment, build relationships and communicate well.
