Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager and interacting with all departments of the company you will be responsible for the operational and strategic aspects of human resource management for the growing organization. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Recruiting and staffing;
- Support the development of the organization;
- Employee integration, development, needs assessment and training
- Competency development management;
- Policy development and documentation;
- Employee relations;
- Employee services and advice to managers on issues related to the interpretation and application of human resources policies and processes
- Internal communications;
- Compensation and benefits administration;
- Support for employee safety, well-being and health;
- Participation in workforce and skills planning
- Management and application of the performance appraisal process, to ensure consistency and fairness of the process and results
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or equivalent field
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a human resources manager, including at least 2 years in a similar position, preferably in engineering
- Business acumen and ability to think strategically while maintaining an organizational perspective
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Change management skills
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English
- Excellent analytical and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Ontario
