Reporting to the Supervisor of the I&C and Electrical team, you will carry out projects in an industrial environment and assume the following responsibilities

  • Participate in the realization of engineering mandates in instrumentation and control;
  • Prepare cost estimates for projects;
  • Prepare cost estimates for projects; Design drawings of process control systems;
  • Select instruments;
  • Write functional descriptions of processes;
  • Perform programming of PLCs and operator screens;
  • Test and correct programs;
  • Participate in the commissioning of equipment such as variable frequency drives, instrument calibration and other electrical equipment;
  • Provide technical support after start-up.

Skills and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to instrumentation and automation;
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in engineering;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Knowledge of programming distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, communication networks and operator screens;
  • Good knowledge of motor controls;
  • Bilingualism (French-English) both oral and written;
  • ASP Construction certification;
  • Experience in consulting engineering and operating plants is an asset;
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code;
  • Excellent technical writing skills;
  • Ability to adapt, thoroughness and organizational skills;
  • Excellent team player and good communicator
