Your role:

• Inspect and verify compliance of materials with drawings, shop orders, and company specifications;
• Report defects and deviations to the supervisor for a decision on recovery or rejection;
• Document material compliance;
• Maintain inspection equipment, instruments, and jigs in good condition;
• Act as a workplace safety ambassador by complying with the measures in effect in the plants.

Velan offers you:

• Hourly rate: $33.50/hour starting and $34.92/hour after the probationary period (720 hours);
• Competitive employment conditions, governed by the current collective agreement.

If you have:

• A college diploma (DEC) in metallurgical engineering technology or a vocational diploma (DEP) in a technical discipline in metallurgical or mechanical manufacturing, or any other relevant field;
• CAN/CGSB 48-9712 ​​Level 2 P.T. and M.T. certifications (or in the process of recertification);
• Five (5) years of relevant experience in a similar role;
• Writing skills to produce quality inspection reports;
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings, instructions, specifications, and quality assurance (QA) procedures;
• Eligible for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP);
• Bilingualism (French and English), both written and oral.
