Our client, a leading distributor of electrical and automation products is currently seeking a Pricing Analyst to be based in our Montreal office.

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for creating predictive and proactive analytical data for use in sales strategies. Analyze internal cost support contract requirements. Perform internal and external claims reconciliation and assist the division in improving internal processes. The Pricing Analyst reports to the Pricing Manager. He/She is responsible for the analysis and improvement of internal processes related to all sales and pricing initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manage the cost file for wire and cable and communicate with buyers and specialist to ensure that costs and selling prices are current and in line with market pricing.
Review cost support contract requests. Consolidate and manage internal monthly claims. Analyze all discrepancies and communicate monthly analysis related to cost overruns to our finance department.
Format and communicate all external claims to vendors via EDI system. Verify and approve claims deductions on a monthly basis.
Maintain our client’s sales group and ensure pricing is aligned within a hierarchy.
Run and analyze divisional reports on a specific schedule and frequency. Communicate reports to the various departments and provide explanations as needed.
Maintain and develop existing tools to improve efficiency and ensure ongoing communication with AS400.
Assist specialists in identifying vendor cross-referrals and ensuring cost changes are made in a timely manner.
Review dashboards on BI Sales & Pricing to assist the team in modifying or creating new dashboards to assist us in daily tasks.
Execute strategies, actions and deliver data identified by the management team.
Provide creative and continuous improvement of sales growth via various analyses and reports.

Your profile

University degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and/or Statistics.
3+ years of related experience
Advanced Access and Excel and good skills with the Office suite
History of success using mathematical models to solve business problems.
Ability to write reports and correspondence with management.
Ability to speak effectively with management
