Our client is looking for a Procurement Specialist for its construction projects.


Main responsibilities:

  • Process purchase orders in Dynamics AX 360 in accordance with procurement policy and governance;
  • Advise internal clients on the best procurement strategy for specific procurements in accordance with procurement policy;
  • Lead the procurement processes under his/her responsibility and act as the primary point of contact for internal customers ensuring timely execution;
  • Identify potential suppliers and determine evaluation criteria with internal customers;
  • Lead supplier qualification: identify a panel of suppliers in the domestic and international market; initiate, coordinate and follow up on the qualification process within the project timeline;
  • Initiate and follow up on RFPs: develop formal RFP package; follow up on clarifications and negotiation of terms and conditions; coordinate internal activities leading to the identification of the recommended supplier (development of selection grids, follow up on evaluations); draft and present recommendations to Senior Management;
  • Finalize process, review and issuance of contracts;
  • Daily update of the project procurement plan;
  • Provide support to other team members as required.


  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Graduate degree ideally in procurement an asset;
  • Project management training or certification an asset;
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role (procurement manager or leader), particularly in the procurement of services, engineering studies and various consultations.
  • Experience in a major project environment (infrastructure construction);
  • Ability to work with computerized project management tools;
  • Fluency in French and English, both oral and written;
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
