What’s the role?

Reporting to the Development Manager, the Section Manager plans and coordinates the activities of the high and low voltage electrical functions of bus platforms.

On a day-to-day basis, you will :

• Assign mandates and priorities for each team member;
• Support the manager and play an active role in group management;
• Be responsible for evaluating your team’s performance;
• Contribute to the implementation of processes related to team deliverables;
• Monitor the progress of projects and deliverables;
• Ensure the application of industry best practices.

What you need to succeed in this position

Skills:

• Knowledge of product development principles
• Knowledge of school bus and transit industry requirements and standards
• Bilingualism (French and English to ensure coordination with foreign suppliers)
• Knowledge of Catia V6 is an asset
• Knowledge of MS Office suite

Education and experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field;
• 3 to 5 years management experience;
• Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
