Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Territory Manager to oversee and develop business relationships in Eastern Quebec. This individual will be responsible for managing existing accounts and developing new partnerships with automotive dealerships, independent retailers and tire distributors. The ideal candidate will bring a solid understanding of the automotive industry and demonstrate the ability to achieve sales targets, build relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management and Development:
- Develop and maintain relationships with automotive dealerships, independent retailers and tire distributors in Eastern Quebec.
- Identify business growth opportunities within existing accounts and secure new accounts.
- Organize regular meetings and visits to strengthen partnerships, provide product training and meet customer needs.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Execute our clients’ sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Manage territory sales pipelines and develop action plans to maximize market penetration.
- Work closely with distributors to ensure product availability, promotional alignment, and timely deliveries.
Market and Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed of market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the automotive industry.
- Provide insights and feedback to internal teams on product performance, market demand, and opportunities for new product offerings.
- Serve as our customer product expert, advising customers on product specifications, features, and benefits.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with marketing, logistics, and product development teams to support promotional efforts and respond to customer inquiries.
- Provide timely reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and competitive analysis to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Represent our client at trade shows, industry events, and customer training sessions.
Qualifications
- An exceptional, motivated and enthusiastic personality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 2-5 years of experience in sales, automotive or related industries a plus.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Familiarity with the automotive market in Quebec, particularly in the Eastern Quebec territory.
- Fluent in English and French.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented and able to work independently in the field.
- Willingness to travel frequently within assigned territory.
