Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Vice President of Operations will have the main mission of setting up control systems to optimize the efficiency of operations. He will analyze the costs related to operations in order to provide accurate reports to general management, while making strategic recommendations. The Vice President will also contribute to the development of business relationships with customers and suppliers, using his exceptional communication skills to establish solid partnerships.
- Provide strategic and operational direction to improve productivity, quality and customer service.
- Analyze production capacity and plan financial, material and human resource needs.
- Supervises and collaborates with operations managers and teams at the various sites. (3 direct reports and approximately 100 indirect employees).
- Deploy the strategic plan for operations and set medium and long-term objectives.
- Coordinate the entire operational system, including relationships with external suppliers.
- Maintain strong business relationships with key customers and participate in contract negotiations.
- Improve systems and processes to comply with organizational standards.
- Ensure that financial targets in terms of revenue and costs are met.
- Promote a performance management culture through coaching and training.
- Encourages continuous improvement through progressive and standardized methods.
- Ensure accountability at all levels of the company.
Professional Requirements
- BAC in business administration, logistics or related 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in a similar role, including at least 10 years in a management position.
- Experience in several operational functions of a comparable company.
- Strong command of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, and experience with ERP, mainly for operations management.
- Autonomy and excellent organization.
- Strong leadership and mobilization skills.
- Action and results-oriented.
- Skills in the effective management of financial and operational objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and oral.
